Although not a surf kayaker herself, Sarah has been immersed in the sport for over 25 years, ever since meeting her husband – an avid surf kayaker. Her long-standing involvement has given her a unique perspective and genuine appreciation for the sport and the strong community it fosters.
She is especially passionate about encouraging youth involvement in surf kayaking, and is committed to helping the team grow and evolve to welcome the next generation of paddlers.
Development officer

Paul Bramble -
Paul brings a lifetime of paddling experience and a deep commitment to developing surf kayaking in Wales to his role as Development Officer for the Wales Surf Kayak Team.
Paul’s journey in paddle sport began at the age of 7, navigating the quiet canals of Harlow and racing in flat water competitions. Since those early days, he’s explored nearly every corner of the sport — from white water to sea kayaking — and is now a qualified Sea Kayak and Surf Kayak Coach based in the heart of Pembrokeshire.
In his current role, Paul focuses on growing the sport at grassroots and performance levels, nurturing talent, and creating opportunities for paddlers of all ages and abilities to engage with surf kayaking.
Paddling Highlights:
-
Sea kayaking around Bishop Rock Lighthouse, Isles of Scilly – navigating dramatic offshore waters and iconic seascapes
-
Surfing the world-class breaks of Bundoran, Ireland – embracing the thrill of powerful Atlantic surf
-
Exploring the remote Outer Hebrides – a blend of expedition paddling and raw wilderness
Quote:
"The beauty of surf kayaking is that it’s both playful and demanding – it challenges your skill while connecting you deeply to the ocean. Helping others discover that is what keeps me inspired."
